In the year 2019, the explosion of information and misinformation became a direct threat to society. In a daring decision, it was decided to create a new government agency dedicated solely to information management. Now some thirty years later, the government still monitors and controls information, suppressing anything they find undesirable, but standing against their abuses of power are the libraries, with their special agents called ‘the book soldiers.’

• this story focus on a soldier life with some action and extra funny part which makes it worth watching and as a good time killer.again..this anime also tell a story about a though and hard headed girl who become a soldier just to protect the libary and book....the story of her everyday life as a libary soldier...sounds boring..but actually its quit intresting.the ending is not so good but its ok...read more »

  Full Metal Panic never really decided whether it wanted to be a serious war story or a light hearted comedy. As a result, it comes off as an odd, but fairly good mix of the two.
